Some will...

...leave early and return late. Drive themselves too hard and rest too little. Seek to please the unappeasable boss and reach the unreachable target. Lie about what they can do and not admit what they can't.

But you don't have to. You're accepted.

Some will...

...go to the gym and feel fat if they don't. Live with hunger or try to eat themselves happy. Think about what others think of them, more than what others need from them. Post an image online which they long to be real. Compare themselves to the airbrushed world of celebrity even they know that it's fake. Value the appearance of youth over the wisdom of years.

But you don't have to. You're accepted.

Some will...

...straighten the photos that show the perfectly content family. Clean the clean and clean it again. Not want a room used because it leaves it a mess. Deliver the kids and collect the kids and deliver the kids and collect the kids and deliver the kids and collect the kids. Check the leagues tables and move to the catchment area.

But you don't have to. You're accepted.

Some will...

Define who they are by the way that they feel. Find friendship on line where nobody knows. Live in a world where anything goes. Feel safer being someone they've made in a game. Find virtual purpose and hope and fame.

But you don't have to. You're accepted.

Some will...

...attend every church meeting and feel guilty if they don't. Work hard for the Lord and look down on those who don't. Call others to volunteer and despise them when they won't. Strive to be kind when they're seen, but less bothered when they aren't. Want to get help, but feel like they can't.

But you don't have to. You're accepted.

Because Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29)

And then goes to the cross and demonstrates love. As he washes us clean now and forever by his blood shed. And makes us righteous before our Father in Heaven. So that each day we know we're accepted.
