Internationals (Amigos)

We may not speak Spanish, but one of the Spanish words most of us know is Amigos; friends. Friendship is so important when we move from one country to another. So Amigos is the name we use in our church for the groups at the King’s Centre that cater for the needs of those who come from different countries, and Internationals Amigos Chessington Evangelical Church Kingston Surreyparticularly for those for whom English is a second language.

Sunday Morning Church Services

On Sundays we provide printed copies of the Sermon (and the songs/hymns) for those who find an English language service hard to follow. We have a welcome desk at the back of the hall, where Pastor Peter, who has spent many years in International work, will greet you and provide you with information.

International Family Lunches

About 2 or 3 times a year we organise Sunday lunches in the King’s Centre. We get together after the morning church service at about 1pm.  You can come on your own or with your family.  The idea is to enjoy each others’ company over lovely food!  It is a bring-and-share lunch, so we encourage every one to bring a dish of food to put on the table.

Amigos Bible Study for Ladies

Meeting every Monday during school term time, we study the Bible together over a hot drink. This is a small interactive group, working from a book to help us.  It is for women with any level of English language and any level of Bible knowledge.  It is a good opportunity for international ladies to get together with British women.  We arrive at 1:15pm for a hot drink and a chat together.  We start the study about 1:30pm and finish by 2:45pm.
