Finding Christ
in the Exodus story
In the opening chapter of Acts we’re told that after the resurrection Jesus spent 40 days with his disciples speaking about “the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3). What did he talk about? What ‘material’ did he use? Did he write a new book or did he explain an old one? How did he help them understand his person and mission?
In Luke chapter 24 the curtains are drawn on these questions and we get a glimpse of what ‘school with Christ’ might have looked like. Two disciples are on the road to Emmaus and they’re mourning the death of Jesus when (unbeknownst to them) he joins them in the conversation. After asking a few probing questions we’re told that, “…beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself" (Luke 24:27).

The Ten Commandments |
We’ve chosen the series title because we believe that Israel’s story is our story in Christ. Israel’s redemption is our redemption. In this series we preach and find Christ – because He is the ultimate reason the book was written. Pastor Bobby
On this page we explain why we say this and point you to some resources which we trust will help you on our Exodus journey.
If you have a question about something we have covered on Sunday morning or in a MAPP group; or perhaps you'd like to share how this series has impacted you I'd love to hear from you
