About Chessington Evangelical Church Kings Centre Surrey

About Us

Chessington Evangelical Church is a church made up of local people from all kinds of backgrounds and nationalities.

As Christians we are committed to sharing the truth and relevance of the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, with our community.

One of the ways we seek to do that is through the use of our building The King's Centre which opened in 1997.  It is called The King's Centre to reflect two things:

Rooftop Chessington Evangelical Church Kings Centre Kingston SurreyFirstly; our motivation to make Christ 'The King' (as the Bible describes Jesus), known in our community. He is at the centre of our lives. The building is named in His honour and reflects our joy in serving and following Him.

Secondly; our desire to serve our local community, part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

As a church we believe that the Christian Gospel is for all of life and so as well as meeting to worship on a Sunday we regularly make The King's Centre available during the week (Monday - Friday) for youth work, meetings, community activities, sports and all sorts of events.

Whether you are interested in worshiping here or using our facilities, we hope you will feel at home among us.  Please do come along and give us a try - we'd be delighted to see you.

What does it mean when we say that the church is 'at home in' and also 'runs'  a local Community and Leisure Centre?

My name is David Moss and as the Church and Centre Manager it's my responsibility to oversee the day to day operations of the Church and Centre.
